Final test of new product at Aono Dam

I went on a boat fishing trip to Aono Dam in Hyogo Prefecture to test the new products Steer Ride and Rush Wave, which were released this summer.

This time we were helped by BASE CAMP.

When I asked about the situation, it seemed that the water was very muddy after the heavy rain and the conditions were not good...but more than any anxiety, I was filled with excitement for the first tournament.

Joining us on the boat was Galápagos staff member Takashima, a skilled angler who specializes not only in Aono Dam but also in the Kansai reservoirs.

Once we were ready, we set sail in a nice low light atmosphere!

First, we fish upstream, aiming for the area where the water is likely to have been replaced by clean water.

Along the way, I tried hitting the spots that caught my eye at key points, but there was no response.

When we arrived at the uppermost area, the water was pretty clear! We started to see bass here and there.

Just as we got up as far as we couldn't go any further, staff member Takashima pulled the bass out from behind a rock...and finally hooked it!

I caught a 40+ with a good recovery.

The hit lure was the Rush Wave 6.5".

The body pushes water well and the lure falls at different times, bringing out the best in the rush wave and catching nice bass.

The hit color is this one. It's Weed SP. Weeds like this often get tangled up in lures, don't they?

This color was developed to blend in with a variety of weeds, both live and dead. It is also recommended for water with a slightly greenish tint, such as Aono Dam and the southern part of Lake Biwa.

After catching this fish, the rain got stronger and we continued fishing while drifting downstream.

Once you go down a certain distance, the feel of the water changes.

We were also able to see carp and baitfish that we hadn't seen before.

I cast the delicious looking wand and found a flooded tree among them.

The water appears to be somewhat deep.

This is the time to use Steer Ride.

A gentle twitch will create a snappy dart. Stop and it will roll and tail and fall beautifully. This fall is irresistible!

After several actions, the line moves at incredible speed during the fall.

It's so fast, is it tangling with the electric guitar? No, it's not!

This one also had a good bite and caught a 50cm fish.

My favorite color is the Silver Shad because of its unique, lifelike flashing and high visibility.

This color is so packed with detailed requests, from the size and type of glitter to the strength of the pearls, that it makes the factory cry.

After this, we made contact with fish several times but were unable to pick them up and time ran out.

When we got up there, it was indeed a very quiet day.

Among them, there are three types of worms that produced excellent results.

It's finally been decided that it will be released around August!

I'm really sorry it's late...but it's a great worm, so please give it a try.
