Zegrashad Development Story vol.1 ~The Origin~
~Origin~
My name is Hattori and I am part of the “Galápagos” development team.
I'd like to talk about the development process of "Zegrashad".
The extremely cold west shore of Lake Kita in January 2020
This is where it all began...
A legendary mid-water fishing method called "Nagoya Fishing" or "Fuwa Fishing" from the early days of bass fishing in the 1990s.
A revival boom hit in 2019, and the mid-level
JH swimming is all the rage.
I also frequently go to the west bank every day to master the smelt fishing pattern.
I was helped by Nagoya Fishing Method.
He pulled out the legendary gambler's old Stud 5, but was short on ammunition.
Sawbug, G5, Skitterfish, Top Gun, etc.
I searched for my parents' house but couldn't find it.
Instead, I unearthed this.
This magazine was the first to introduce the Nagoya fishing method to the world!
Published in 2000!

I remember seeing this magazine article as a university student at the time and being excited about it.
Twenty years ago, there were still many fish in the population, and although I don't remember catching any huge ones, we did have some decent catches.
It's been 20 years since then.
The Death Adder 6" is the only choice for JH swimming ammunition in the world.
These are all extremely popular lures that you can't get anywhere else.
Has the number of fish in Lake Biwa also decreased compared to 20 years ago?
It's hard to get a lot of them, but if you keep trying you'll get a super large one.
It feels like it just pops out.
In this situation, just after the New Year of 2020.
We keep casting in the freezing cold north wind that freezes even the guide every time.
We captured a football-sized physique that resembles the ``Jewel of Lake Biwa.''

And then vomit comes out of the mouth!
Truly spit smelt!

"I want to make a lure that can catch fish like this."
"I want a choice of lures that allow me to approach the fish from different angles."
And my feelings suddenly started to boil.
Development of "Zegrashad" has begun.
