[SteerRide6”] New worm
Introducing Steer Ride 6" currently under development.
The Steer Ride 6" stick bait is currently under development and has two main uses.
Jig head swimming and no sinker.
Swimming using the currently popular 0.9g jig head and stick bait.
In all the fishing I've been doing for a long time, there were two issues I just couldn't get rid of.
Treadmill swimming posture
・Swim while lying on your side
This is an unavoidable issue because the volume of the worm is large compared to the weight of the jig head.
Even when watching from the surface of the water, the lightweight jig head + large stick bait was unstable, sometimes swimming straight and sometimes falling over, so I was worried whether it was swimming smoothly underwater.
Steerride was developed to overcome these issues.
The shape has been adjusted so that even with a lightweight jig head, the lure can swim with its back facing the water surface.
I kept repeating the cast, making adjustments to find the right place to receive and release the water.
The effect of the side fins is to prevent the rear end from dropping during a curve fall.
For me, the best method for this type of fishing is lift and long curve fall.
Lift the worm without jerking it, and use the worm's propulsion and the weight of the line to make a curve fall.
The key is to stay in the air for as long as possible.
This is a fishing method that I learned while fishing for rockfish in my hometown of Aomori.
If you use a Texas rig like this on rocks or a breakwater to target large rockfish or black porgy, you will get a strong, depressing bite.
I can't get enough of that moment when you remove the slack from the line and start stirring.
When we applied this to Lake Biwa, it was a huge success.
The bites occur overwhelmingly just before the bait hits the bottom, or just after it hits the bottom and the line is slackened.
If you are in a horizontal position at this time, your chances of getting a bite will increase dramatically.
It's not a worm that rolls violently, but the Steer Ride allows you to steer it at will, giving you the feeling that you're riding a worm.
The samples will be exhibited at the Fishing Show Osaka, so please come and see them!
