A midwinter hit with the Grace280F!
It's been three days since my most frustrating fishing trip the other day.
On this day, too, the Grace280F was the main lure used for fishing.
I wanted to go to Kitako, but I was really curious about the area I visited last time.
When I threw it, there was an incredible chase right from the morning.
This looks like it'll work! (I say the same thing every time I go fishing) I thought as I continued casting, trying various actions such as twitching, jerking, and just reeling.
It took a while for us to get a bite, and soon we came across a poor area.
Last time I removed the swimbait joint pad and got a bite with a one-pitch slide, but this time I'll attach a 2mm pad to the back and try luring the fish with a wide S-shape.
After it hits the bottom, loosen the weeds and begin retrieving.
I slowly reeled it in, trying to just graze the top of the weeds, and then there was a thud! A dull bite.
The hook was set perfectly, and what came up was a nice bass with a plump belly.
The moment when you catch a bite with a big bait and feel the weight on the rod is mouth-watering, bass fishing is the best! That's the moment you think like that.
In the end, they committed suicide together at Lake Minami.
There were some close calls, like in the spring, where there were bites that just didn't seem to get caught, and also where the line flew off to the side during retrieval, but I still managed to induce five bites at Lake Biwa in January.
I change the settings frequently, and this time I attached a weight sticker of about 10g to it to make it sink.
It takes about 4 seconds to sink 1m.
Because of the depth of the water, this speed allows you to create natural action.
Anything heavier and it will look unnatural, and anything lighter and it will float up more than necessary when it comes off the weeds.
Adjust your posture so that your head is slightly lowered to balance the water depth and the angle of the line.
The swimbait joint is essential for adjusting the action, but it would be a waste to throw it away, so it's a good idea to cut off and use the outer frame part after peeling it off!
The best part of using big baits is that you can set them up precisely according to the field.
This fishing is so much fun, so I'm going to keep fishing more and more until it's released.
The Grace280F is scheduled to be unveiled at the Fishing Show Osaka 2024, and we are currently working hard to make it possible to exhibit all colors!
Please look forward to it.
